In this ministry, elementary-age children perform ceremonial duties such as lighting the altar candles before and extinguishing the candles at the end of worship service.
This ministry is the “teaching and disciplining arm” of the church, responsible for a Christian, Biblical-focused church school and other training.
Class Leaders keep in contact with church members, help with any personal and spiritual needs they may have shared information with the Pastor and appropriate ministry leaders.
The Health and Wellness Ministry promotes good health, illness prevention and access to health services that nourish the mind, body, and spirit. This ministry also oversees the medical needs of the congregation during worship service.
This ministry prays for individuals requesting special prayer. Our ministers are available daily at 6 PM by phone to pray for and pray with callers. Please call the church office for the call-in number.
The Lay Organization provides training and teaching on the history, traditions, and principles of the African Methodist Episcopal Church
The Music Ministry provides spiritual, uplifting music and song during the worship service.
The Senior Adult Ministry plans monthly programs and activities for Quinn Chapel seniors and for the surrounding community. They enjoy lunch and fellowship. Ages 55 and older are welcome.
This ministry serves as the primary source and advocate for social justice and equality within our community. We provide voter education, voter registration information, and informative forums and encourage civic engagement.
The Stewardess Board prepares the sacraments for Holy Communion and assist the clergy with Baptisms and other liturgical preparations.
The Women’s Ministry meets monthly to listen to the testimony of an invited guest. Her life experiences and supported scripture references gives inspiration to us, encourage, equips, and prepares us to share God’s love, grace and mercy with others. This ministry also supports outreach initiatives.
The WMS is an “outreach arm” of women who serve the needs of local, domestic, and international communities through a number of projects.
The YPD encourages leadership, spiritual growth, Bible study and community service, for young people ages 2 to 26 years old.
